Utilizing King Oyster mushroom mycelium, the root-like structure of the fungus, we have created a foil-like substitute that offers a sustainable alternative to traditional materials used in insulation foil. We use coconut fibers mixed with a organic waste and water to grow the mycelium. The mixture is put into molds and as it grows, it will shape into the desired dimensions. The panels are then dried to create a sturdy, heat-insulating material.
